Folded to Rinko Roller Pro your bike will …
- be very small (85 x 85 x 36 cm for my MTB)
- stand securely
- be able to be laid down on its side
- have its dirty & sensitive parts inside
- be very robust, nothing will damage itself
- roll nicely, like a trolley
In other words your bike will be a “convenient item” when using public transport. So you´ll easily travel with your regular bike(s) any time, from half-day trips to vacations. Usually there is also no need to book a special spot or ticket for bikes in advance, making train travel more available, spontaneous, cheaper as well as more reliable.
Rinko Roller Pro makes travel even easier than Rinko Roller: Solo travellers can simply relax and basically take any train at any time because there are so many spots Rinko Roller Pro fits into (see the included ebook for details). And groups can travel together, provided they do some planning (again: see the included ebook).
Folding is doable in 16 minutes after initially installing 3 of the parts shown below. This time even includes unpacking & packing of components & tools if using the accessories & upgrades listed below. It is reduced to 15 minutes if you use quick release pedals like I do. It will take longer if your bike has wired lighting, a rack or big mudguards.
Rinko Roller Pro works with almost any bike that fulfils the following 2 requirements:
- No cable routing through handlebar or headset
- 2 wheels of the same size

Accessory – LandingGear
With this you don´t have to carry anything.
So your folded bike will feel like a modern suitcase instead of a trolley. LandingGear also protects your saddle from rough surfaces and has a parking brake so your bike does not roll away when you leave it.
The silver rails will stay mounted, the black part can be installed and removed quickly.
LandingGear will be tailored to your bike.
It is only available for round saddle rails atm.
Weight is ~ 150 g.
Price is 100 € + shipping.
Accessory – Wheel Holders
Wheel Holders for the following axles are available:
- 15 mm short (Through Axles on MTB forks)
- 20 mm short (Through Axles on downhill MTB forks)
- 12 mm short (Through Axles on Gravel Bikes / Road Bikes / Touring Bikes)
- 12 mm long (rear Through Axles on MTBs)
- Lefty (Cannondale forks)
- QR (axles on older bikes / bikes with a Rohloff)
Weight varies slightly between the variants.
Price is 15 € per axle + shipping.
Upgrade – Ultralight Wheels
These replace the standard wheels coming with Rinko Roller Pro.
They are significantly lighter (113 g instead of 221 g) and narrower (16 mm instead of 24 mm). Like the regular wheels they use replaceable industry standard bearings. In addition the tires can also be replaced. When storing wheels & axle separated to minimise volume (dis-)assembly is easier because with the Ultralight Wheels the screws holding them can be fastened without tools.
Ask for color options (rims, tires).
Price is 50 € (for standard all black, as seen above) + shipping.
Accessory – RinkoCover
This will completely cover Rinko Roller Pro whenever it is required or appropriate.
Rinko Roller Pro will still roll nicely while covered.
LandingGear also works fine with RinkoCover.
Weight is 140 g.
Price is 125 € + shipping.
Accessory – MultiBag
This has space for all parts and tools to fold your bike to Rinko Roller Pro.
It is very small (16 x 8 x 8 cm). Nothing rattles inside, nothing falls out, nothing damages your bike. MultiBag also significantly reduces total folding time (unpacking, folding, packing).
MultiBag can be mounted at multiple places on your bike: Under the downtube, inside the frame or below the saddle:
Either LandingGear or RinkoCover will also fit inside (increasing height to ~9 cm).
With Ultralight Wheels both LandingGear and RinkoCover will also fit inside (increasing height to ~9 cm). This combination can be seen in the folding video above.
Mounting MultiBag below the saddle with LandingGear is especially nice:
